All Bergpracht products are made from pasteurised milk. Every raw milk product in Germany must be labelled ‘made with raw milk’.
Fat in dry matter is the abbreviation for "fat content in dry matter". Dry matter refers to the total cheese mass minus the water content. The fat content in dry matter is determined as a percentage on this basis. This allocation determines the fat content level.
Factory tours are very problematic in food production for hygiene reasons. As our production facilities do not have a separate "visitors' gallery", we are unfortunately unable to offer factory tours. However, it is possible to observe our production from the outside via a visitors' walkway.
Due to the natural ripening process, the lactose in our Brie blocks, which we offer in various fresh food counters and our factory outlet, is broken down and falls below the threshold value of 1g/100g. This means that they can be categorised as lactose-free.
All Bergpracht products are produced with microbially produced rennet.
