Over the past two years, 1,436 tonnes of CO2 have been saved per year.
The network of the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia Chamber of Industry and Commerce in cooperation with the Ravensburg Energy Agency is continuing its energy success story. ‘Over the past two years, the companies have once again achieved energy savings of around 3.4 million kilowatt hours,’ says Stefan Kesenheimer, Head of Business Promotion and Regional Development at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, ’this corresponds to the electricity consumption of around 970 households.’
Measures were implemented in the areas of process optimisation, heat recovery, optimisation of the compressed air system and even lighting optimisation. However, the network is not only concerned with saving energy, but also with CO2 balancing and sustainability targets. ‘The simple measures have been implemented in the meantime, so it is becoming increasingly important to exchange ideas and discuss measures,’ adds Kesenheimer.
Other topics were also identified at the meeting, such as peak load optimisation with the use of a storage system or the procedure for converting the vehicle fleet to alternative drive systems.
